First up is the classic Dodge Charger, which has had an imposing, sinister look since it was revamped and redesigned in 1968. The newer, “badder” Dodge Charger still retained its classic appeal and thunderous power, but it added a lot of style with its seductive, curvy design. Conceived in 1970, the nimble and intimidating Challenger boasted the same engine choices as the Charger (most notably the 440 Six Pack Magnum and the 426 Hemi), but with a lighter body that could reach zero-to-60 speeds in around six seconds. The quick and agile Challenger showed the world that it was a force to be reckoned with, and it did so with style. It’s no wonder the classic Challenger was chosen as the star vehicle in the original Vanishing Point, starring Barry Newman.
